Unity

It is really fast and light It is based on Mandriva. It has the control panel (yes the MCC). It is just a core to build your own distro, but I find it complete enough to run it on a laptop as is.
No bloat here. It is just user friendly and fast. It even is fast in Virtualbox :D It uses the smart package manager and it can use the Mandriva repos. It is not a PCLOS based distro as many seem to think. When wifi works 100% there is nothing else you want on your laptop with limited resources.

Is there a difference between using their repos and using Mandriva's?

Have been keeping an eye on Unity lately. Seems interesting.

Thanks.

I dunno!

here are the repos in my smart package manager:

I just use them all. I figure it is a SMART package manager so it has to earn it's reputation :D Amazingly everything is running smothly.

Even the sound is good in Virtualbox.

Yeah I installed webin from Cooker PLF free (86_64). No problem. Smart is good at checking dependencies so it stops me when I try to fubar my system. :)
