Then you don't have openm running, and had no clue that was directed towards all you fighters of said non-existent distro. Get in context. You know good and well the distro I speak of is imaginary and doesn't exist. That's the point.
Viking's also right, btw.

Oh, btw, when's release date again? We're all waiting with baited breath to see what all this 21 (22?) pages is about, and yeah, without full Gnome 2.32, I probably won't be interested. Tat's also the point. For now, no release date=no interest for most people. They better make it GOOD to interest anyone when/if it finally does happen. The drama, in the end, is for naught.

Oh, so alpha/beta isn't real?(No it is not moondrake by the way) Nice creative logic! Guess you can make any conclusion that way. :wall: May not be gold release yet, but it is real... working rather well, actually!
I also agree with Viking about Gnome 3, I never did care much about Gnome anyway, so that doesn't bother me much.

So, this thing's an alpha and beta now? Where's the release schedule?

Yeah, Gnome 3's a p.o.s.

Another alpha has been released:

There are a couple of "gotchas":

With 2GB of ram in vbox, it runs reasonably well. Once the fix is applied, it does install and boot.

Thanks I'll give it a spin. The Moondrake edition I have seems to have trouble now.

Perhaps this: http://mandriva.598463.n5.nabble.com/OM ... 13535.html
which is supposed to have been fixed.

Not working here:

Code: Select all

Installasjon mislyktes: file /usr/share/man/man1/mountpoint.1.xz from install of util-linux-2.23.1-2.x86_64 conflicts with file from package sysvinit-tools-2.87-17.x86_64

        util-linux < 2.23.1-2 conflicts with coreutils-doc-8.21-5.noarch
        error while checking dependencies

It seems to be the same error though.

*ahem I've asked twice. Is there a release schedule, or not? News about an alpha being released makes not a release schedule.

No. Why does that matter? They are still building the distro infrastructure and trying to get the repo's into a usable shape. It is unlikely that anyone could provide a meaningful estimate as to when a final release might be available. There would be no point at all in publishing a release schedule that was just a wish list.

Sorry, I'm just having problems with releasing alphas for something that doesn't have a release schedule. I think it further goes to say how little this thing's pulling together. It makes people lose hope in the fact that a distro actually will be released, therefore they lose interest.
