The Mayan Calendar covers about 3000 years BC and 2012 years AC. In fact it ends tomorrow on the 21st of December. The Mayans were pretty smart people and right aboust most things, so that is it. Tomorrow the 21st of december IS THE END OF THE WORLD!
So what can you do?
Well, do not oversleep - being there is everything...
Screew the tax declaration and spend all your money (like every year?
)
Oh well it has been a fun ride - see you tomorrow...eh...

Uh??? What happened? Nothing? Damit - now I have to accept that the Outlook calendar is more accurate than the Mayan calendar
I always thought the Mayans were way smarter than Microsoft...
Maybe there simply was a practical reason for stopping ...somewhere:

Mayan king goes to the town mathematician and tells him he wants a calendar- one thats so accurate it will never be rivaled.
"Sure thing, King!" he says.
few days later the King asks a servant if he had seen him or have heard anything on the calendar. "No sir" he replies.
King goes to the mathematicians home, "weres the calendar I requested?"
"Not done with it your majesty"
"your not!?.....how much of it is done?"
"Im up to December 21st 2012"
"Dang man, that will do us for a while- lets go with it!"
