Apple has been found not liable in a DRM case where they made it impossible to play tunes that were purchased from other companies than Apple.
It looks like the verdict will be appealed.

Apple is in the Faashion/Tech industry. People that understand Fashion buy Apple, people that understand Technology buy some else.

Yes they have cool and fashionable products. Design is important.
Fashions have a tendency to become unfashionable after a while so they have to come up with something new fairly often.
To stay in fashion.
