Odroid c2 - Raspberry competitor with more power

Postby viking60 » 09 Feb 2016, 11:58

The Korean Odroid c2 is much like the Raspberry Pi but more powerful. I also costs $40 where the Raspberry costs $35.

Alt these gadgets are Arm these days which means that they can handle graphics and movies with ease.

So you could make it an Android device or use other Linux. Odroid c2 can not handle Windows 10; which now is possible on Raspberry pi.

Given the ability to handle graphics you could make a decent gaming PC out of this one.

A 4K monitor can be attached to Odroid-C2 through an HDMI 2.0 port. The board has ARM’s latest Mali-450 MP3 GPU and a video acceleration chip that can render H.265 4K video streams at 60 frames per second.

The board has an ARM Cortex-A53 64-bit CPU—which is used in smartphones, tablets, PCs and servers—and 2GB of DDR3 RAM. It has a Gigabit ethernet port, USB 2.0 ports, microSD slot and eMMC slot.

This gadget will start shipping in March and comes with Ubuntu pre-installed.
Here are the specifications:

Yeah I like this stuff too. It is the future. The internet of things is ARM driven.
